JAGUAR I-PACE EV400 AWD – December 2019
Jaguar very kindly lent us their new Jaguar I-Pace for a couple of weeks and some of the team have been able to experience life with one the newest electric cars on the market.
The journeys were on A and B roads around rural North Yorkshire and we were using public charging points. As this car has been predominately used for test drives, the range when fully charged was showing 200 miles. Under sole ownership and not driven as hard then this would no doubt produce more but we never had any issues with range anxiety and felt 200 miles was enough to carry out all our commutes with a charge every other day.

OUR VERDICT
LIKES & DISLIKES
Performance – Unbelievably quick acceleration – Feel like you are on a runway taking off! Rear head room – You have to dip your head to get in the back or you’re going have a sore head!
Build Quality – Solid as you would hope from a car with this price tag Rear visibility – Narrow rear window makes it difficult to see
Handling – For such a heavy car it sits on the road and takes corners with ease. Rear Passenger room – Good space but tricky to manoeuvre cars seats in and otu
Good level of tech – We had the mid-range SE and it wasn’t lacking in spec. Cheap looking black mirrored plastics in door cards
Entertainment system – Distracting to use whilst driving and a bit of a lag (prob get used to this over time though)
