DMJ Drainage's EV Journey: Cutting Costs and Carbon Footprint

The Company:

DMJ Drainage Ltd

DMJ Drainage Ltd has been pioneering agricultural drainage since 2001. They stand as a leader in their field, having successfully completed hundreds of projects across the UK. Growers, both large and small, consistently trust DMJ's professional approach, honest advice, and expert planning. This commitment to quality has naturally resulted in a significant level of repeat custom nationwide.

The Challenge:

As part of their commitment to becoming carbon neutral, DMJ is comprehensively examining every area of its operation. They are actively identifying lower-carbon options and immediately incorporating these findings into their decision-making and project delivery. Beyond materials, the company has prioritized transport and logistics as a major focus of this initiative.

The Solution:

Yorkshire Fleet looked at ways to reduce the carbon output of the company car fleet. While Plug-in Hybrid Vehicles (PHEVs) were considered, ultimately it was determined that full Electric Vehicles (EVs) were the most effective solution - delivering the greatest benefits for drivers while significantly reducing the company’s overall carbon footprint.

"We’re proud to be working with a company that shares our vision for a cleaner, more responsible future. Thanks to Yorkshire Fleet, our sustainability journey is accelerating — and we’re excited for what’s ahead."

Tim Horne, Compliance Manager, DMJ Drainage
